Malaysia Food

miss Malaysia's Food !! It's been three months since I last taste Malaysia's food. Although they have it in Singapore but the taste is different, I miss keropok lekor, nasi lemak, Malay food and Chinese food as well as midnight drive to mamak stalls !

Recently, my classmates asked me a bout the food in Malaysia, they wanted to try Malaysian food, I told them about food I love in Malaysia. You can actually tell by their face that they want to try the food I mentioned so so bad ! We planned to go Malaysia on the first week of our first semester break, then we will head to Bangkok because Anna lives there ! Sound exciting and I can't wait for our trip to start !

Steroids

  • Steroids there's cycle, it usually takes up to 12 weeks. Steroids is now on trend for its main usage, mainly for body bulking or cutting. The popular ones for bulking is Deca Durabolin and Sustanon.

Sustanon is for testosterone which is for the male hormone, while Deca Durabolin is for muscle growth, obviously the effect of it is muscle growth and hunger for food, more adrenaline stored therefore a person who took steroids often crave for food because he instantly get's hungry. the bad side effect, is hot tempered, a person who took steroids often get's furious and aggressive easily because of too much of male hormone.

A person who took steroids might experience growth of facial hair, because it is due to the testosterone, and as you know, testosterone is male hormone.
Steroids are normally meant for people who needs to boost their immune system and athletes to gain strength and stamina.

Automotive Industry

The Automotive industry is one of the biggest and most important industries in our today’s world. For many people today it is inconceivably to not own a car, since they are depending on it to get to work or several other places like holidays or relatives or even to just make the local shopping trip easier. Auto mechanics repair and maintain cars. Some mechanics work on all parts of any car, while others specialize in one area or on one type of car.

The most challenging aspect of car repair is often the mechanic's favorite part: diagnosing the problem. Speed and accuracy in diagnosis and quoting prices to the customer are crucial if the mechanic intends to keep long-term clients. The mechanic examines the engine while it is running (if possible) to see if his initial assumptions are correct. Electronic diagnostic equipment is useful but the good mechanic can tell a lot by using eyes, ears, even nose as he searches for problems and potential hazards. Sometimes he repairs parts, but if the part is worn or damaged, he replaces it.

Some mechanics compare their field to that of the physician, because most people come in only when their car is in dire straits, not when regular preventive maintenance could have avoided the problems altogether. When people come in for an automotive check-up, mechanics often replace worn parts before they become hazardous to the driver, even though drivers can be suspicious of mechanics who recommend the replacement of parts that haven't stopped functioning. Most auto mechanics intern while still in automotive repair school, then work full time at the same dealerships. They read trade papers daily to keep abreast of changes and trends in their industry. As they gain experience they can move into higher-paying, specialized positions. They can also rise to the ranks of supervisor or manager, particularly if they have strong interpersonal skills to calm cranky customers who are displeased by high service bills and inconvenience.

Furthermore the days of the uneducated grease monkey are over. Aspiring auto mechanics must have increasingly sophisticated vocational skills and must constantly adapt to continually changing technology. The integration of computers in automobiles means mechanics must be familiar with complicated new systems. Students begin their training by studying car processes in manuals and then work on older cars. Most mechanics find themselves in technical educational programs after graduating high school. To obtain certification, students spend over 1,000 hours working on cars and must pass a written exam. There are test preparation guides for all certifying exams. A number of training programs work with local shops to place students in internships with car dealerships or service centers during their studies.

Ilji Park

I met Anna, Ilji Park when I first came to NAFA college. Well, not exactly the first day to class, I was rather alone and quiet, but then we slowly got to know each other by hanging out after class. I dint know Anna is a Korean though, she as well din't know that I was a Malaysian back then, She is a korean that moved to Bangkok Thailand with her mother to pursue her high school education, so she stayed in Thailand for 7 years. She speaks 3 types of language, English, Korean and Thai.
I recently learnt a lot of basic sayings in Thai and Korean from Anna, and she learnt a few Malay and Mandarin basic greetings from me.

Soon we both became very close friends, we even sleepover at each other's place because we often hang out until middle of the night, and sometimes, Tiffany join us too ! Anna and I became instant best friends because we have a lot of things in common, especially our opinion and point of view. We both really enjoy talking to each other because we often share our culture practice together and the amazing part is that both of us love trying out new things !

Dying Stars

It is not just us living things on earth that has our life cycle, stars do have their own life cycle too. A star have 7 stages of life, from Stellar Nebula to White Dwarf, Neutron Star or Black Hole, total 7 stages. A life cycle of a star starts from Stellar Nebula, which is the exploded supernova gas cloud, changing to a Protostar, known as a newborn star, and according to human life cycle, a Protostar is described as the fetus. Then it changes to stable star, as known as the main sequence, the active and shining star, and it is known as the growing stage from infancy through adulthood.

Our sun, is a dying star, it is a Red Giant star, that it is known as a cool, dying and swollen star. At this point of stage, in human life cycle, it is at its middle age. Then our star, Sun, would eventually turn into Planetary Nebula star, the colorful gas ejection star. The Sun is not a supernova but instead it will die into a White Dwarf then lastly, Black Dwarf, a dead star. At the stage of White Dwarf, it is the old age-death

Milky Way

Milky Way is known as our home galaxy, containing our solar system, which orbits the Earth, Neptune, Pluto, Mars and few more other planets. The name "milky" is created from its appearance as a dim glowing unclear band arching across the night sky in which, our naked eyes cannot see.

The term "Milky Way" is a Classical Latin translated word via lactea, according to Wikipedia. From our planet Earth, the Milky Way looks like a band because of its disk-like shape structure viewed from within the Galaxy. Galileo Galilei, Harlow Shapley, Heber Curtis, and Edwin Hubble are the very few first astronomers and scientists that started to discover the universe, and Edwin Hubble showed that the Milky Way is just one of many galaxies. According to scientists, Milky Way is a barred spiral galaxy with 100,000 to 120,000 light-years in diameter which contains around 100 to 400 billions of stars, and it may contain many other planets as well ! How amazing !

According to research, a black hole is a very creepy and dangerous, but still, not completely scientific proven for where the black hole would bring us to. A black hole is said to be a region of spacetime from which the gravity of one black hole prevents anything, including light from escaping ! The hole is named "black hole" because it absorbs all the light that hits the horizon, reflecting nothing ! The black hole's gravity is so strong that even light cannot escape from it. Black hole can be found at any part of the universe including in Milky Way, because a black hole is a collapse of a massive star.

Dolphins and Sharks

  •
Dolphins and sharks shares the same regions and depths of the oceans. Sharks have the reputation as a very fierce and dangerous predators, having rows of sharp pointy deadly teeth that can tear off flesh and bone easily. Sharks skin is very touch, and it is sandpaper-like that it cannot be easily punctured or stabbed.
Dolphins are different from sharks, in sense of intelligence and physical look. Dolphins are often seen as smart and playful mammals with only one single row of teeth that is not very sharp and it is mainly used for catching smaller fish. Dolphins skin is soft, flexible and can be cut easily. Dolphins are sometimes seen protecting an injured or sick member of their group, or their 'own kind', which is always a member of their extended breed, from shark attacks. According to rumors, dolphins have even been known to protect humans from the attacks of sharks in water, and even carry people safely to shore.
Dolphins often travel in a group, if a member of their group is threatened by a shark, the rest of the group of dolphins will join in to defend themselves. they often attack or confuse the shark from different direction and they uses their snout to attack the sharks soft spot, the underbelly. Sometimes, dolphins would hit sharks that are more aggressive rapidly and will often kill a large and dangerous shark

Dogs

These are the few types of dogs that I have always been craving for my family to get. There are Schnauzer, Golden Retriever, German Shepherd and Labrador Retriever.

Starting off with the most wanted, Schnauzer consists three types of breeds; the giant, standard and miniature. Schnauzer is ranked as one of the most intelligent dog, it is faithful, barks when it is necessary, friendly dog and gentle to children. Schnauzer is originally pepper-salt color, the Miniature Schnauzer is the crossing breed of the Poodle and Affenpinscher. Schnauzer known for it's loyalty and rarely aggressive toward strangers, therefore it should not live outside.

Golden Retriever and Labrador Retriever are known as the most recommended family and life companion dog. Golden Retrievers and Labradors are often trained to be a companion to people with physical inabilities. Beside that, this two happy breeds are very friendly towards any kind of people especially children, of course, if they are being treated properly. This two breeds are cousins !

German Shepherd is widely used around the world as police dog, and guard dog. The sensitiveness of it's nose and attentive attitude are the best assistant for polices. It can be gentle to children and treated as family dog if it is well trained. But mostly, German Shepherd are often used as guard dog.

Self-esteem

What is Self-esteem?

Self esteem is a term phycology used to reflect a person's overall emotional respond of oneself worth. it is also known as a judgement and attitude towards oneself. self-esteem plays an important role in one's life because it encompasses ones beliefs (for example, "I will not success", "I can win") and emotions such as fear, ego, pride, and shame. A low self esteem can cause a negative result to oneself such as the feelings of unworthiness, shame, and discouragement.

Self-esteem is known as an influential predictor of relevant outcomes, such as academic achievement, body size, height, skin tone, attitude, or exercise behavior. Self esteem also known as self-worth, self-regard, and self-respect.

Parenting style plays a crucial role in self-esteem development. Children who have high self-esteem tend to have parents who are caring, supportive, listens to their children opinion in decision making, often praise their children for their achievement. To contribute a healthy and positive self-esteem development include being spoken to respectfully, listened to, receiving enough of attention, and having accomplishment recognized.

Low self esteem often comes from people who gets criticized often, not having enough of attention, and getting a lot of rejections.

Bryan Loo, managing director of Chatime Malaysia

below are the interview session done by the social media with Bryan Loo
Was it always your dream to own your own F&B (food & beverage) chain?
I’ve always wanted to venture into a business and I love F&B but I wanted something simpler, so I was deciding between a beverage business or a bakery. In the end, I chose beverages and started to study about tea.
What was it like when you opened your very first Chatime outlet?
Everything was done by my family and I – from the process of making the tea products to handling the cashier to managing the sales of the company. Although it was not easy, I was very grateful to have the chance to do it and the opportunity to educate the public about bubble tea.
What do you think is the key ingredient to your success?
It always comes back to one word – passion. Passion can only bring us further. It’s the only thing that keeps us going without getting tired. Things aren’t always easy. But I believe where there is a will, there is a way. It may sound cliché, but it really works.

According to my research, Amber Chia, Ke Qing, Chuckei, and many more social media influencer have supported and attended some of Chatime launching events. Chatime and LINE have collaborate and event together and was said that they have more events coming soon.

Pokka Green Tea

Ever since I started studying in Singapore, my everyday on-the-go-drink must be the Pokka Green Tea, it was introduced by one of my friends. Ever since I started drinking this green tea, I got addicted, because it taste so good and refreshing ! Not too sweet not too light either.

The bottle cost around SGD1.30 in NAFA college, and around SGD1.90 outside, so it's definitely a plus point to buy one everyday in NAFA before heading to class ! Because green tea is healthy and taste good, I'm pretty sure the price for the drink is worth it, I don't drink sodas or light drinks because it's too gassy and definitely not good for health.

On the other hand, it contains an amount of sugar that is not too much, it is suitable for people with low blood pressure, me.

My resolutions with positive notes

Towards the end of the year, this year is one of the worst I had in my life, but I can only tell that
new college, relationships, and financial issues are one of the major pain in the ass I had this year.
So, I came up with a resolutions note for myself to get ready for year 2014!

More traveling
Getting away from Malaysia once in awhile would be good, I've been to Phuket, Thailand previous 4th January, it was a great idea to start my year but I can sense that I'm dusting off my luggage, passport and shades to a new trip again!

Save more, and then spend at one go
I am that one type of person that spend on things that are not necessary, not even on what I need to keep myself survive though. So this year I 'm making myself to save as much as possible then spend it at one go (with a list of budget and what I needed the most to the least)!

Be more organized
I literally fail this every year, I bought many, many diary for myself to note down all the events and things that I need to keep track with but I still fail, but hey at least I try ! So this year I promise to try even harder.

Meet more people, improve social skills
One of the reason I'm back to blogsphere. I'm quite a shy at first, hell talkactive later kind of person, that one was definitely not a good idea, I need to attend more function, activity anything that can help to improve my social skill. You know that kind of feeling when you are a very talk active kind person but suck at starting it so people thought you're an antisocial, yeap I feel you.

Love my health
I dont want my skin to age with my age at the same speed, so I'm forcing myself to go on a healthy routine that includes drinking more water, consume more greens, exercise, and SMILE more (nobody like wrinkles). I think I missed out junk food too :p

So that's it for now!

Anxiety

Anxiety is something very dreadful and pain in the ass where you fear of something that is not even there (yet), I mean, fear is something that is 'real' and it's happening, whereas anxiety is something you made up in your mind by delusions, jealousy, something menacing you're aware of that is actually real or maybe you're just being too sensitive and dramatic.

Anxiety = THINK TOO MUCH, WORRY TOO MUCH, and too much of awareness in you, and are always prepared to attempt any upcoming events which is somehow beneficial, let's say people who suffer anxiety are afraid of anything including noise, threatening environment or event so they are always careful and they pay extra cautious in everything. That may explain why nobody successfully prank me on April Fool's Day :( , and the fact that people who suffers anxiety a less likely to die due to accidents.

Anxiety occurs at anytime anywhere, from your bedroom to a place you've never been before. It happens when you're meeting a new person, completing a task, competing, financial bumps, making decisions, waiting for a respond, attending a function or even when you're standing at a front line you may face a panic attack, you have butterflies in doing anything that is out from your own comfort zone. I myself suffers great anxiety because I have very low self esteem and I'm not comfortable with anything that is not in my expectations such as getting myself lost on a route for a date, and my damn GPS is already leading me back to the right route but I still get panic attack and might even start crying (because I'm afraid the wrong route I took might lead me to Silent Hill or somewhere like that LOL JK). It really depends on the nature reactions anyway.
Symptoms

- butterflies in your stomach
- goose bumps
- feeling dizzy
- feeling hot and cold
- sharp ringing noise in your ears
- crying/screaming
- unable to reach reality
- can't concentrate
- uneasiness
- restless
- numbness
- headaches

My Classmates

The last day of class before assessment break week starts

The first day I came to class, I thought I'm never going to blend in my new classmates because I'm older than most of them, and that I am also late enrolling school for a week, so I thought everyone have their own clique already and I wont be able to make this class in my comfort zone. I was wrong.

People in my class are very friendly, although sometimes we have communication problem because there are many foreigners in my class that speaks different types of languages. There are people from China, Indonesia, Korea, Singapore and Malaysia. We have our own dialect, but of course, we speak English because that's is our global language.

We make our class a realm because we seen each other so often that it is daunting to not hang out together during weekends so we eventually come out and meet almost everyday to do our homework or simply spend our time together somewhere outside, sometimes both, we kill two birds with one stone !

Life in a complete new environment

This is definitely one of my most 'unglam' article I will ever post online, nothing related to fashion or boys, just something inside me I'm shy to tell people.

I'm not local, Singaporean if you can tell, I'm from Malaysia, and therefore I'm living alone here because my family is not with me here living in Singapore. I live alone in a tiny room located in Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6, with a pair of married landlord I barely recognize how they looked like. Anyway, what make's me homesick is the food, yes, I love food, I can't live a day without delicious street food to fancy restaurant food, my appetite is so huge that my body can't tell, and of course, the main reason, my family. I do not live in a fancy big house driving four wheel drive car in Singapore, and in Singapore, they do not have 24 hour mamak stall located at everywhere, and people here they do not speak Cantonese and barely even willing to speak in mandarin, somehow, my Singaporean classmates told me that they think Chinese speaking people is disgraceful, no? I'm not a English grade A student, I hope people here can actually understand how I feel though.

The culture practice scares me the most! There are many, I mean really, many people they don't drive because the vehicle's here cost a truckload of heart attacks, it is so expensive that people rather walk than drive! Therefore, most of the people they don’t spend their time till late night outside because there is no trains and buses available after 12am, only cab, and it charges 2 times extra because it's the law? Well I can understand because they do the same thing in Malaysia. Also, dining practice, people wait for everyone's food to arrive before they start eating, this is unacceptable! But anyway, I'm here in Singapore, and therefore, I need to adapt to all the culture practices here.
